10 Most Peaceful Countries In 2023, Ranked By The Global Peace Index

10 Most Peaceful Countries, The Institute for Economics and Peace, established in 2007, ranks 163 independent states and territories based on how peaceful they are. A nation’s general safety depends on many factors, such as crimes, violence, wars, and military strength. These factors can make people happy to stay in their country or be eager to escape to a safer place.

For travelers, choosing the safest cities in the world, such as Melbourne or Seoul, is a better option than visiting the most dangerous places. But when it comes to whole countries, not just cities, the peacefulness rankings by the IEP can help them decide which are the most peaceful countries in the world.

These are the world’s most peaceful countries in 2023, according to the IEP’s comprehensive measures of domestic and international conflicts, societal safety, and militarization. They are also the safest places to live and travel for people who want to avoid stress and danger.
