Egypt, High-speed electric train project to be inaugurated in 2024: Ministry of Transport
According to Minister of Transport Kamel Al-Wazir, Egypt is preparing to launch the sixth high-speed electric train project globally by the end of 2024.
He said the ministry aims to support local companies to produce all the train components locally and eventually export them to other countries. He added that the church has three main criteria for choosing the suppliers of the train units: they must accept payment in Egyptian pounds, offer the lowest price, and provide the best technical quality.
